CRIME / INCIDENT REPORTS
All crime and incident reports (other than motor vehicle accident reports) are stored at the
Prince George's County Police Department - Central Records Division.
To obtain a copy of a police report, contact the Police Records Center Automated Request Line at (301) 985-3660.
Copies of police reports can be obtained at a cost of $5.00 payable by business check or money order.
No cash or personal checks are accepted. You can also mail requests with a self addressed, stamped
envelope to the Police Records Center, 4923 43rd Avenue - Hyattsville, Maryland 20781.
Please allow 2-4 weeks for the report to be delivered. Please provide names of persons involved, date, time, and
the location of the incident. Also, if available, please provide the case number.
Police reports cannot be obtained from the Police Records Center on a walk-in basis, only through the mail.
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT REPORTS
If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident (in the Town of Edmonston) and a police report was written, it is a good idea to get a copy of the accident report, not only for insurance reasons, but to keep for your own records as well. A copy of the report is generally available 72 hours after the accident occurred, and must be downloaded directly from the internet. Instructions are below:
2. Click on "Private Citizen Purchase Crash Report"
3. Select the State. (Maryland)
4. Click on "Edmonston Police Department"
5. Enter the Date of the Accident and the Case Number
6. Follow the prompts for credit card payment and immediate download of your report.
(Accident reports are not availale at the police station.)
The cost for a Motor Vehicle Accident Report Copy is $25.00
