TOWN OF EDMONSTON, MARYLAND
The transformation of Decatur Street into a "Green Street"

Next comes the actual construction work.  It is planned to begin in the early part of November 2009.  This may cause some minor disruption in the normal traffic pattern, and a slight inconvenience for residents and travelers for short periods of time, but the end result will be worth the effort.  Not only will Decatur Street be completely "made over" and pleasant to drive on, but it will be enviromentally friendly, in keeping with the Town of Edmonston's overall committment to "Going Green."

This page will keep you updated on the progress of Operation Green Street, and pictures will be posted to give you a visual during each phase of the project.

If you have any questions or comments about Operation Green Street, please do not hesitate to contact the Town Hall at (301) 699-8805, or by email at townhall@edmonstonmd.gov.
